Long Weekend of March
It’s been a long weekend in Cyprus, offices, banks and public offices were closed on Friday, 25 March, due to the public holiday relating to the start of the Greek Revolution in 1821 against the rule of the Ottoman Empire.
Cyprus had an active role in the revolution of 1821 and its contributions are recognised, so much so, that the Prime Minister of Greece commented in his speech this year.
Military parades in Greece and school parades took place in all main cities.
Personally I took time with family, friends, loved-ones and to … relax.
