Electronic Payment of the New Levy of €350 on Cyprus Companies

The Cyprus Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the Cyprus Bar Association and on the Cyprus Registrar of Companies have issued  announcements which iinform the public that the new levy of €350 on Cyprus Companies may be paid electronically through the website of the department of Registrar of Companies

The Ministry of Commerce Industry and Tourism has announced the commencement of the system for the Payment of the Annual Levy of of €350 on Cyprus Companies  for the year of 2011 through the Website of the Department of the Registrar of Companies and Official Receiver.

The scope of the system is to facilitate the payment of the new levy of €350 on Cyprus Companies for the year of 2011 which in accordance wit the relevant laws (see previous posts on the new levy and the guidance on the new levy) must be paid until the 31st of December 2011.

Furthermore the Registrar of Companies recommends that the payment of the new levy of €350 for group of companies or for those paying on behalf of several companies should be made electronically. Lastly it is clearly stated that the program does not carry on any checks on the submissions.

It appears that the Registrar of Companies is applying this practise only for the year of 2011 and will not for the momment exdent this service for the year of 2012.
