The Orthodox Easter is probably the most important event in Cyprus’ annual calendar. Easter is a moving holiday and is calculated in accordance with the full moons.
This year the Orthodox Easter coincides with the Catholic Church’s easter.
Banks, offices and other business in Cyprus are closed on Friday (22/04/11), Monday (25/04/11) and Tuesday (26/04/11).

On Friday the 13 April 2011, an amendment to the Cyprus Partnerships Law was published in the official government newspaper. The Cyprus Partnerships Law has only been amended once and the recent amendment is the second time.
INDIA – CYPRUS ISSUE
Indian Minister of External Affairs S.M. Krishna has assured Cypriot Minister of Foreign Affairs Marcos Kyprianou that India respects the sovereignty, independence, territorial integrity and unity of Cyprus, and expressed support to a solution of the Cyprus settlement, based on UN Security Council resolutions and in line with the expectations of the people of Cyprus.
